ION HEALTH - Change Your Water... Change Your Life... Change Our Environment
Ion Health was established to educate and provide consumers (residential and commercial) on how simple it can be to correct and greatly improve the water used everyday with the right equipment and the right products. Water ionization has amazing benefits that work at a cellular level and will soon become the next standard home appliance.
Stop paying for over-priced gimmicks and slick marketing ads for water that not only does not do what it claims, but in some cases, can be worse for you than drinking water from your tap. Many bottles of water tested actually FAIL! Not to mention our machines also produce 5 different types of water, something they cannot do.
What is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis process divides the water molecule (H2O) into oxygen (O2) and hydrogen gas (H2). It happens because of the electric current passing through the water. This electrolytic process is also used in many industrial applications where they require hydrogen. The process of electrolysis is very important to understand. In this process, an electrical power source is required, which is connected to two electrodes, or two plates. In general, these plates are made from some inert metal like platinum or stainless steel, which are kept in the water. In this process, hydrogen gas generates at the cathode, which is the negatively charged electrode and where electrons are impelled into the water. Oxygen produces at the anode, which is the positively charged electrode. The produced amount of hydrogen is two times the amount of oxygen. Both of the gases are comparative to the total electrical charge, which was sent through the water.
What are Free Radicals?
Background: A Look at Chemical Bonding
To understand the way that free radicals and antioxidants interact, you must first understand a bit about cells and molecules. So here's a very brief refresher course in Physiology/Chemistry 101: The human body is composed of many different types of cells. Cells are composed of many different types of molecules. Molecules consist of one or more atoms of one or more elements joined by chemical bonds. As you probably remember from your old high school days, atoms consist of a nucleus, neutrons, protons and electrons. The number of protons (positively charged particles) in the atom's nucleus determines the number of electrons (negatively charged particles) surrounding the atom. Electrons are involved in chemical reactions and are the substance that bonds atoms together to form molecules. Electrons surround, or "orbit" an atom in one or more shells. The innermost shell is full when it has two electrons. When the first shell is full, electrons begin to fill the second shell. When the second shell has eight electrons, it is full, and so on. The most important structural feature of an atom for determining its chemical behavior is the number of electrons in its outer shell. A substance that has a full outer shell tends not to enter in chemical reactions (an inert substance). Because atoms seek to reach a state of maximum stability, an atom will try to fill it's outer shell by:
  • Gaining or losing electrons to either fill or empty its outer shell
  • Sharing its electrons by bonding together with other atoms in order to complete its outer shell
Atoms often complete their outer shells by sharing electrons with other atoms. By sharing electrons, the atoms are bound together and satisfy the conditions of maximum stability for the molecule.
How Free Radicals are Formed?
Normally, bonds don't split in a way that leaves a molecule with an odd, unpaired electron. But when weak bonds split, free radicals are formed. Free radicals are very unstable and react quickly with other compounds, trying to capture the needed electron to gain stability. Generally, free radicals attack the nearest stable molecule, "stealing" its electron. When the "attacked" molecule loses its electron, it becomes a free radical itself, beginning a chain reaction. Once the process is started, it can cascade, finally resulting in the disruption of a living cell. Some free radicals arise normally during metabolism. Sometimes the body's immune system's cells purposefully create them to neutralize viruses and bacteria. However, environmental factors such as pollution, radiation, cigarette smoke and herbicides can also spawn free radicals. Normally, the body can handle free radicals, but if antioxidants are unavailable, or if the free-radical production becomes excessive, damage can occur. Of particular importance is that free radical damage accumulates with age.
Free Radicals in Plain English - Let's say each atom has a positive and a negative end. Atoms that have both poles will remain stable and continue to do what atoms do in a normal fashion. Now let's say an atom only has a negative end - it is missing a positive and thus becomes unstable. It will bounce around inside the cell looking for a positive and in doing so cause damage in the cell.
An unstable atom is called a free radical and the collective damage done to the cell by the unstable atom is called oxidation. When the body has enough damaged cells from free radicals and oxidation, we have aging. Obviously, we need to do something about these free radicals.
Every time we breathe and every time our body breaks down nutrients for energy, free radicals are created. We must breath and eat in order to survive, so simply stopping either thing is not an option. What we need to do is introduce anti-oxidants to the body to combat the oxidation and ultimately, the aging.
An anti-oxidant is simply an atom that has only a positive end. When an anti-oxidant meets with a free radical, they both join up to become a stable atom. Stable atoms don't damage cells, or cause oxidation or cause aging. We want stable atoms in our body. Kangen Water can help us achieve this.
What is Hexagonal Water?
Hexagonal Water is a specific arrangement of individual water molecules where 6 H2O units consistently link to form a ring-like structure. This unique arrangement is the basis of a more complex crystalline network that is formed when numerous hexagonal units join together.
All water contains a certain percentage of hexagonal units – some sources more than others. The percentage of hexagonal units appears to depend on a number of factors, including toxin levels, mineral content, motion, and energetic influences that water is exposed to. For example: chlorine, fluoride and many pollutants typically found in municipal water sources destroys ability of water to form hexagonal units. Tap water typically has a very low percentage of hexagonal structures.
On the other hand, there are a number of places throughout the world where the water has a high concentration of hexagonal structures. Many of these places are known as “healing springs.” (Many people have heard of Lourdes, France - a prime example). Others are known for producing inhabitants that live long and disease-free lives.
How do we know when water is hexagonally structured?
Nuclear Magnet Resonance (NMR) is one of very few methods that can verify molecular size. NMR analysis shows that ordinary tap water is composed of large molecular units (between 12 and 20 individual H2O units). These unorganized molecular conglomerations are not nearly as supportive of biological functions as Hexagonal Water is now being shown to be.
Hexagonal Water moves easily into the cellular environment -There is significant evidence that Hexagonal Water moves within biological organisms with greater ease. It appears to enhance nutrient absorption and the removal of metabolic wastes. (Many who consume Hexagonal Water report a cleansing reaction within days or weeks.) This may be due to the smaller size of the molecular unit and its ability to enter and exit the cellular environment with greater ease. It may also be due to the specific organization of the hexagonal network which appears to enhance cellular communication and to support other structures within biological organisms.
Hexagonal Water is found surrounding healthy DNA, whereas unorganized water is found surrounding the DNA of diseased tissue. - Jhon, M.S., The Water Puzzle and the Hexagonal Key
Hexagonal Water Enhances Metabolic Efficiency - There is also evidence that Hexagonal Water activates enzymes to a greater degree than ordinary water – and that it enhances metabolic efficiency. (1) In The Water Puzzle, Dr. Jhon explains why Hexagonal Water is energetically more powerful and why it has the capacity to improve metabolic efficiency. According to his book, Hexagonal Water has the capacity to perform more work and to transfer a greater amount of energy within the body.
Hexagonal Water Decreases as we Age -We know that the total amount of water within the human body decreases as we age, but it is also being shown that the amount of Hexagonal Water decreases as well. In one significant study conducted in Japan, Magnetic Resonance Imaging was used to show that the amount of structured water in the body is directly correlated with age. This same study presents evidence that biological molecules require structured water in order to perform their functions. According to the paper, when biological molecules are found in unstructured water, they are just compounds – they have a decreased ability to perform their intended functions.
Hexagonal Water forms Hexagonal Crystals when Frozen - Have you ever wondered why snowflakes are always six-sided? Although a snowflake is fundamentally different than Hexagonal Water (A snowflake contains billions of hexagonal water molecules) it is a reflection of the specific hexagonal structure that water assumes as it freezes. Snowflakes are formed as super-cooled water condenses around particular matter in the atmosphere. Super-cooled water is nearly 100% hexagonally structured. It is able to maintain a liquid state, in the upper atmosphere – even at temperatures well below freezing. As this super-cooled Hexagonal Water freezes, it naturally assumes a shape which reflects the hexagonal unit from which it is made.
Dr. Masaru Emoto, in his well-known book, The Message From Water, shows how different energies effect water. The beautiful photos in his book are taken following “flash freezing.” They provide a graphic representation of the degree to which water is hexagonally structured. His photos of tap water show very little crystallization. On the other hand, the water from some of the world’s pristine springs, freezes to form beautiful snowflake-like crystals – the more intricate the six-sided crystal, the greater the amount of Hexagonal Water in the sample.
Healthier Cells - are supported by tightly bonded, hexagonal water clusters, created by "structure making" ions.
Pollutants and toxins are unable to bond with water molecules and unable to create toxin accumulation and cellular problems.
Unhealthy Cells- are characterized by loosely bonded, pentagonal or unstructured water clusters and "structure-breaking" ions. Pollutants and toxins can easily bond with water molecules and create toxic accumulation and cellular problems.
Drinking clean, natural (hexagonal), oxygenated, energized water is CRUCIAL for optimal health and healing!
About Enagic the makers of Kangen Water™
Just as Kangen Water represents the best water available, Enagic simply represents the best, by all means, in and around this highly respected industry.
In 2002, Enagic was awarded an honorable endorsement from the Japanese Association of Preventive Medicine for Adult Disease. Enagic is the only company approved for use in the hospitals in Japan by this group. This is considered such a special feat, considering this non-profit and independent doctors association, which is also the biggest and the most respected of its kind in Japan, is known for its long and thorough selection process and the fact that they issue such endorsements for only one product (or product line) to the very best in any given category.
In this particular case, Enagic represents not only the best in the Kangen Water™ industry but in the whole water industry. As a matter of fact, they practically created the water category with this organization as they were the first one ever to be selected from the water industry.
While Enagic has grown into the industry leader over years in the business, they spent their first 10 years only working with doctors and hospitals to co-develop and market professional grade machines, unlike most of the competitors in this industry now. During this 10 year period, they inevitably established their quality-driven culture and they started manufacturing smaller home units only after the doctors and their discharged patients started asking for such machines so they can continue their
home treatments, despite the fact that there were already a handful of similar home units, known as Ionized Alkaline Water Generators, on the market. The problem was none of these home units were a Kangen Water™ grade, and that's what they really wanted in their homes to continue their healing.
Producing Kangen Water™ was not always such an easy task. Around 20 years ago, producing a water of this quality required giant tanks of water with incredibly large metal plates for electrolysis. Producing Kangen water in the past was a long and strenuous task. Back then, a small household unit was unheard of.
From the business perspective, the sale of these new units meant a whole new, business opportunity for Enagic with incredible potential. At the same time, it also presented two major issues they had to resolve -- quality and cost. It was a question of whether or not they should compromise on the quality in order to meet the price point that end users
would be willing to pay.
In the end, they managed to come up with both technological and business solutions to their satisfaction. In 1997, they introduced their first home unit LeveLuk DX, a true Kangen Water™ generator, which instantly became the benchmark of the industry. To top it all off, they packaged it with industry-best automatic self-cleaning system, also accompanied by an unheard-of 5 year full product warranty and a comprehensive maintenance program along the way.
As unconventional as these all sound, they decided to completely bypass the traditional distribution system by selling directly to consumers; heavily relying on referrals from existing customers. At the same time, they also started opening multi-functional satellite offices in each of major cities in Japan, where customers could drop by to learn about the water and the products.
The truth of the matter is they needed to do so, in order to provide such a professional grade unit at a mere consumer price point. Essentially, they instead focused on over-satisfying the customers so they cannot help but telling other people about their acquisition and its unbelievable health benefits.Enagic Corporate History
